FMC values, in all that we do: compassion, optimism and professionalism and empowerment. The position holder provides psychological services to eligible clients by referral who are affected and/or impacted by mental illness.  Key work tasks associated with this role include:

  • Determining client eligibility for service delivery;
  • Development of Psychological Treatment Plans (PTPs);
  • Provision of treatment by way of individual, group and/or family sessions;
  • Reviewing progress of PTPs and the outcomes of sessions, supports and strategies, and;
  • Referral of clients to alternative support services as and where appropriate.

To be considered for appointment to this role, prospective candidates must possess tertiary qualifications in Psychology, an active provider number with Medicare and hold either general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA) or registration in the health profession of psychology with AHPRA and endorsement by the Psychology Board of Australia to practice in clinical psychology.

The appointee will possess comprehensive experience and interest in the assessment and treatment of a variety of psychological conditions across a broad client group including children.

This position is available on a full time basis based in Ringwood with outreach as required. Candidates seeking part time employment (ie: 0.8 FTE/4 days a week) are welcome to express interest.  Evening work (until 8:00pm) will be required one night a week.

Child Counsellor

Location: Chadstone

Child Counsellors are responsible for providing therapeutic interventions to children from separating families.

Child Counsellors provide therapeutic interventions to children from separating families which includes child consultations as part of the Family Dispute Resolution process, individual child counselling, group work facilitation and education and skills training.  Specific work tasks include:

  • Undertaking risk assessments with children and family to determine level of support and nature of intervention required;
  • Provision of counselling to children and adolescents using a range of therapeutic interventions;
  • Provision of timely and appropriate referrals for children and their families as required, and;
  • Ongoing communication and psycho-education with parents throughout counselling to ensure children continue to be supported.

To be considered for appointment to this role, prospective candidates must possess relevant tertiary qualifications (ie: Psychology and/or Social Work) together with demonstrated experience in providing assessment, counselling and support to school aged children and families in the context of their parent’s separation.  Demonstrated experience and commitment to working with children from separated families is essential as is knowledge and understanding of child development and a strong working knowledge of relevant theoretical approaches for working with children.  Other essential criteria include excellent communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to engage and build rapport with clients; well developed organisation and time management skills and a proven ability to deliver child inclusive practice in a culturally sensitive manner.

This position is available on a part time, parental leave relief basis for a period of up to 9 months (3 days per week/0.7 FTE).  Evening work (until 8pm) will be required on one evening during the week, currently on a Thursday.

Promote, maintain and deliver services for Gippsland Family Law Pathways Network

The appointee to this role will facilitate the operations of the Gippsland Family Law Pathways Network and will promote, maintain and deliver services of the network in the wider community.  Key deliverables include:

 

  • To establish links between post-separation services across the catchment area through a Family Law Pathways Network, and to organise regional meetings of the Network;
  • To establish, promote and maintain the profile of the network in the wider community;
  • To establish and maintain effective and positive relationships between FMC and other service providers;
  • To establish and maintain contact with relevant community service organisations, legal firms, government departments and individuals as appropriate.

 

To be considered for appointment to this role, prospective candidates must possess tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline together with demonstrated professional working experience in the community sector.   A proven ability to engage both private and community based services is essential as is experience in the facilitation of groups and events.  In particular, the appointee will have demonstrated experience in promotion, marketing and networking strategies together with well-developed relationship management skills.  Other essential criteria include expert communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to situations as they arise.

 

This position is based in our Traralgon office and is available on a part time basis (0.4 FTE/2 days per week).

Regional Services Manager – Mediation Services

Outstanding leadership opportunity for an FDR Practitioner seeking a blend of site operations and clinical oversight

With strong government relationships, FMC is regarded as a high performing and trusted partner providing niche services. Creative and innovative thinking is instilled in our culture; with a core focus on quality, performance and consumer-centric service delivery.

FMC has recently completed an organisational development initiative that will ensure that our managerial structure is fit for purpose and aligned to strategic opportunities. Central to our ongoing success is the appointment of a Regional Services Manager who will assume responsibility for driving best practice clinical governance and inspirational people leadership across our Chadstone and Ringwood locations.

The successful candidate/s will report directly to the Executive Manager and specific areas of accountability will include:

* Regional site operations management, including local service coordination across a multi-disciplinary team, and local administration

* Clinical practice management including provision of clinical supervision, raising of ethical and therapeutic standards and professional development, and;

* Delivery of therapeutic interventions for complex cases.

To be considered for appointment, prospective candidates must hold registration as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner together with tertiary qualifications in Family Law, Mediation or similar. Demonstrable career experience as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner is essential as is extensive experience in clinical practice management (clinical supervision) of Mediators. Well-developed leadership and emotional intelligence skills are essential as is a proven ability to engage others, influence organisational culture and provide strong direction. Experience managing a multidisciplinary team would be a distinct advantage.

This position will have clinical practice oversight for Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners at our at our Chadstone and Ringwood offices in addition to overall site managerial responsibility across both sites.
