What do we do?
We tailor a service to meet the needs of the individual and their family. Firstly, we interview the client to assess their personal needs and concerns. Then, in consultation with the client, we design a program to meet those needs. It may involve a number of one-on-one sessions, group participation, information sessions on particular topics, referrals or a combination of these.
Included in this service is:
- Counselling;
- Education around the needs of children (focusing on child development, children’s reactions to conflict and their adjustment to separation and divorce);
- Conflict management and resolution;
- Divorce and separation education;
- Problem Solving for One;
- Skills training (effective parenting, relationships, communication, negotiation, emotional literacy);
- Assistance with preparing, negotiating and implementing parenting plans;
- Information (legal, child support, residence, contact, shared parenting etc);
